Market Open: Stocks Rise, July Inflation In Line, CoreWeave Shares Soar • 8/12/26

CNBC market open business news update. I'm Jessica Edinger. Inflation came in as expected in July.Markets are in the green out of the gate this morning. The Dow up 43 points being led higher by shares of Caterpillar up 2.5%. Cisco up 2.5%.The S&P 500 index up 23 points. The Nasdaq up 159 points. That's about a half a percent.Chipmaker shares in the green this morning. Out of the gate, Micron and Intel both up 4%. Inflation ticking slightly higher in July from June.The CPI is out.
