CNBC business news update. A winning Tuesday's in the books for the major averages. I'm Jessica Edinger.The Dow was up 160 points Tuesday. Merc shares led it higher. They were up 3.8%.The S&P 500 index up 24 points. The Nasdaq was up 171 points. That was a half percent.Chipmaker shares mostly in the green.
