I understand this argument, but the counterargument is simply scale.Empirically, multi-ethnic ideological empires like Rome, the British Empire, Napoleon’s France, the Soviet Union, and the US defeated smaller monoethnic nation states.They defeated them militarily, culturally, economically, and ideologically.
