ConocoPhillips Secures Court Approval to Seize PDVSA Payments

ConocoPhillips (COP) , the U.S. oil giant, has achieved a significant legal victory in its long-standing battle to recover compensation from Venezuela's state-owned oil company, PDVSA. Per a Reuters report, on Sept. 27, a Trinidad court approved COP's request to seize payments related to a proposed offshore gas project between Venezuela and Trinidad.
