Group 1 - CNOOC Tianjin Institute has successfully applied its self-developed THDC diesel hydrogenation technology in a 1.2 million tons/year hydrogenation upgrading unit at CNOOC Asphalt, marking a breakthrough in the field of distillate oil hydrogenation [1] - Hydrogenation upgrading is a key process in petroleum refining that enhances oil quality by removing sulfur and nitrogen, and improving cold flow properties, converting low-quality distillate oil into high-value products like clean diesel and gasoline [1] - The TH series hydrogenation technology has improved the yield of high-value chemical raw materials by 3% and addressed technical challenges related to the low-temperature flow properties of diesel products, enabling efficient utilization of low-quality resources [1] Group 2 - The successful application of this technology significantly promotes the high-end, intelligent, and green development of the refining and chemical industry, which is of great strategic significance for ensuring national energy security and advancing green development [2] - CNOOC Tianjin Institute will continue to focus on the national "dual carbon" goals and energy transition needs, enhancing key core technology research and accelerating the transformation of high-level achievements to contribute to the high-quality development of the industry [2]
