Group 1 - FAW Toyota Motor (Chengdu) Co., Ltd. plans to recall 54,143 units of domestic Avalon models produced between June 24, 2024, and February 10, 2025, starting from September 30, 2025 [2] - Toyota Motor (China) Investment Co., Ltd. will recall 79 units of certain Sienta models produced between June 20, 2023, and February 14, 2025, starting from August 7, 2025; 6,866 units of Lexus LM500h, LM350h, and LS500h models produced between June 29, 2023, and April 18, 2025; and 35,054 units of imported Toyota Alphard, Crown Vellfire, and Crown SportCross models produced between May 31, 2022, and May 21, 2025 [2] - FAW Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. will recall 302 units of Corolla, Asian Lion, and Corolla Cross models produced between May 12, 2023, and March 4, 2025, starting from September 30, 2025 [3] Group 2 - The recall is due to improper setting of the control program for the combination instrument, which may cause a black screen at vehicle startup, failing to display speed and warning lights, posing a safety risk [3] - The companies will provide free upgrades to the combination instrument control program for non-PHEV models and will inspect PHEV models to either upgrade or replace the combination instrument based on inspection results to eliminate safety hazards [3]
