Group 1 - The Ministry of Civil Affairs and six other departments have launched a nationwide initiative to promote charity culture, themed "Gathering Kindness to Create a Better Life," coinciding with the upcoming 10th "Chinese Charity Day" on September 5 [1] - The initiative encourages various enterprises to participate in charitable activities through establishing charitable organizations, collaborating with existing charities, setting up charitable trusts, and engaging in volunteer services [1] - The initiative aims to integrate charity culture into rural spiritual civilization construction and include charity law in the legal training for grassroots rural cadres to support the development of civilized rural customs [1] Group 2 - As of now, there are 16,000 registered charitable organizations in the country, and 2,531 charitable trusts with a total contract scale of 9.7 billion [2] - The Ministry of Civil Affairs has designated 29 internet public fundraising service platforms and 3 personal assistance online service platforms, through which 600 million people have contributed over 150 billion [2] - Since 2021, charitable contributions to key disaster-affected provinces have exceeded 17 billion [2]
