Sensex, Nifty close week on strong note; banking, pharma lead rally

Benchmark indices extended their winning streak for the second consecutive session on Friday, with the Nifty 50 crossing the 25,300 mark intraday, its highest level since September 19, as banking and pharmaceutical stocks drove the rally amid improving global sentiment and renewed foreign investor interest.
