CenterPoint to sell Ohio gas business to National Fuel for $2.62bn

CenterPoint Energy has agreed to sell its Ohio natural gas distribution business, Vectren Energy Delivery of Ohio, to the National Fuel Gas Company for $2.62bn. The transaction involves approximately 5,900 miles (9,495km) of pipeline in Ohio, servicing around 335,000 customers. Under the terms of the deal, CenterPoint is expected to receive $1.42bn in proceeds upon closing and the remaining $1.2bn in 2027 via a seller note.
