Sony Bank Could Issue USD Stablecoin in U.S. Next Year: Nikkei

Sony Bank plans to issue a stablecoin in the U.S. as early as the fiscal year 2026, the Nikkei reported on Monday. The online banking arm of Sony Financial Group, which was spun out of the electronics giant this year, envisages the USD-pegged stablecoin being used to pay for games and anime, according to the report.
