Soybeans Falling to Start Friday

Market Overview - Soybeans are currently trading with losses of 8 to 9 cents in the nearby contracts, following slight gains of 1 to 2 1/4 cents on Thursday [1] - The national average cash bean price increased by 1 3/4 cents to $10.22 1/2 [1] Export Sales and Shipments - For the week ending November 13, bean bookings totaled 695,598 MT, an improvement from the previous week but still 61% below the same week last year [2] - Accumulated sale commitments stand at 18.4 MMT, which is 37.5% lower than last year for the same week [2] - Known purchases by China have reached 3.37 MMT [2] - September soybean shipments were reported at 2.856 MMT, down 8.29% from last year but the second largest in the last five years [3] - Soymeal shipments reached a record 1.32 MMT in September, marking the seventh consecutive monthly record [3] - Soy oil shipments were the lowest since October 2024, totaling 17,617 MT [3] Auction and Pricing - Sinograin, a Chinese state stockpiler, has scheduled an auction for 513,000 MT of imported soybeans for next Tuesday [4] - January 26 soybeans closed at $10.93 1/2, up 2 1/4 cents, while nearby cash was at $10.22 1/2, up 1 3/4 cents [4] - March 26 soybeans closed at $11.02 3/4, up 1 3/4 cents, and May 26 soybeans closed at $11.12 1/4, also up 1 3/4 cents [4]
