Core Viewpoint - Qinghai Province has successfully completed its water resource basic investigation work this year, marking a significant achievement in highland water ecological protection, with a continuous 100% excellent water quality rate at 35 national monitoring points during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, making it the only province in the country to achieve this goal consistently [1][2]. Group 1: Water Resource Investigation - The water resource basic investigation covers six core tasks, including water area space, surface liquid water reserves, glaciers and perennial snow, groundwater resources, specialized water resource evaluation, and data management and application [1]. - A total of 160,000 plots and 1.95 million hectares of water area space were comprehensively surveyed and quality-checked during the investigation [1]. - The surface liquid water reserve investigation successfully measured underwater topography of 156 lakes, 130 reservoirs, and 368 ponds, as well as 4,986 kilometers of river sections across 8 key rivers [2]. Group 2: Glacier and Snow Investigation - The glacier and perennial snow investigation included 17.1 kilometers of geological radar measurement and 546.32 meters of glacier drilling, monitoring and verifying the depth, thickness, and reserves of six typical glaciers [2]. Group 3: Data Management and Application - The province achieved successful integration of the groundwater monitoring information system with the real-time 3D Qinghai system, initiating the development of the water resource module, and displaying over 8.67 million multi-source water level monitoring data from 394 monitoring stations [2]. Group 4: Investment and Environmental Protection - Since the 14th Five-Year Plan, Qinghai has prioritized enhancing water source conservation functions, investing 8.946 billion yuan in key river basins, implementing 148 water ecological protection and restoration projects, and achieving a 99.5% rectification rate for key river and lake sewage outlets [2]. - The centralized collection rate of urban domestic sewage has increased to 74.92% [2].
