Group 1 - The Chengdu-Dazhou-Wanzhou High-Speed Railway (referred to as "Chengda-Wan High-Speed Railway") has successfully completed the key project of the Guangming Tunnel, with the final blasting excavation taking place on December 28 [1] - The Guangming Tunnel, located between Kaijiang County in Sichuan Province and Kaizhou District in Chongqing, is a critical connection point between Sichuan and Chongqing, with a total length of 8,468.8 meters and a design speed of 350 km/h [3] - The construction faced significant challenges, including mud and water inflow, gas, and harmful gas exceedances, leading to a complex and high-risk working environment [3] Group 2 - The project team utilized higher safety-grade coal mine-specific explosives and digital detonators for blasting, as well as low-permeability airtight concrete for rock sealing, ensuring construction safety and efficiency [3] - Over the past three years, more than 600 builders from China Railway Beijing Engineering Bureau have worked through various difficulties, completing all construction tasks successfully [3] - The Chengda-Wan High-Speed Railway is an important part of China's "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high-speed rail network, which will create a convenient passenger transport corridor from Chengdu to the Central Plains and Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei regions, significantly facilitating travel for local residents and promoting economic and social development along the route [5]
