北部湾首条220千伏海底电缆完成敷设

Group 1 - The 220 kV submarine cable project, the first in China to use domestically produced insulation materials, has successfully completed the critical phase of cable laying, spanning 44.8 kilometers from Weizhou Island to the landing point in Beihai [1][2] - The project, initiated by the Southern Power Grid Guangxi Electric Power Company with an investment of 858 million yuan, includes the construction of a 220 kV substation on Weizhou Island and a new 220 kV line connecting to the Beihai 220 kV Dunhai Station [2] - The power supply capacity for Weizhou Island is set to increase from 35,000 kW to 161,000 kW, utilizing over 70% clean energy from the mainland, which will support the island's green development and enhance the well-being of its residents [2] Group 2 - The project is expected to be completed and put into operation by mid to late January 2026, following the connection of the submarine cable to the land cable and the commissioning of the Weizhou substation [2] - The infrastructure will also facilitate the integration of offshore wind power in the vicinity, providing a crucial transmission pathway for future offshore wind energy projects in the Beibu Gulf [2]
