华侨图书馆将新设4家海外图书漂流站

Group 1 - The core initiative of the Huashiao Library is to establish overseas book drifting stations in four countries: Spain, Myanmar, UAE, and the USA, in collaboration with relevant Chinese schools and overseas Chinese organizations [1] - The overseas book drifting stations include locations at the Eino Language and Culture Center in Spain, the Shenghua Chinese School in Mandalay, the Great Wall Academy in Dubai, and the Seattle Shanghai Association in the USA, along with two domestic stations [1] - The library's 2026 focus will include a series of reading activities titled "Youth Reading China" and various cross-national events such as a reading and bookmark creation competition themed around the Year of the Horse, cultural salons, and reading seasons in different countries [1] Group 2 - The Huashiao Library plans to collect valuable materials such as letters, historical documents, and old photographs from overseas Chinese communities to establish a special database for overseas Chinese history and expand its collection of related books [2] - The library aims to act as a platform to connect various organizations and overseas Chinese businesses, facilitating information exchange and hosting events focused on industrial cooperation and cultural integration [2] - Recognition was given to outstanding individual and team volunteers, as well as annual inspirational figures during the event [3]
