Core Viewpoint - Recent significant progress has been made in shale gas exploration in the western Hubei region, with successful breakthroughs in industrial gas flow achieved through collaborative efforts by the Ministry of Natural Resources and local geological bureaus [1] Group 1: Exploration Achievements - The Enshi region's shale gas investigation has successfully achieved an industrial gas flow breakthrough, focusing on the Permian shale formations [1] - The Enshi 2HF horizontal well in the Dalong formation has achieved a daily gas output of 50,600 cubic meters, expanding the investigation into new layers [1] - The Hefeng region's EHE 3 well has achieved a daily gas output of 10,700 cubic meters in the Qixia formation, marking the effective expansion of unconventional gas exploration from the Sichuan Basin to the western Hubei region [1] Group 2: Scientific and Technical Contributions - The findings enrich and refine the unconventional gas accumulation theory in complex structural marine areas, establishing a new accumulation model for mudstone gas [1] - An innovative testing and return flow process combining electric submersible pumps, gas lift, and intelligent monitoring has been successfully implemented at the Enshi 2HF well, addressing challenges in the return flow of pressure shale gas [1] Group 3: Resource Assessment - The project has identified one favorable area each for the Dalong and Qixia formations, and has submitted a recommendation for a new exploration block in the Enshi East shale gas area [1] - An additional geological resource volume of 132.95 billion cubic meters of shale gas has been confirmed, strengthening the resource foundation for the western Hubei shale gas base [1]
