The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics report released on Tuesday showed that consumer prices rose +0.3% m/m in December, in line with expectations. On an annual basis, headline inflation rose +2.7% in December, the same as the previous month and in line with expectations. Also, the core CPI, which excludes volatile food and fuel prices, rose +0.2% m/m and +2.6% y/y in December, weaker than expectations of +0.3% m/m and +2.7% y/y.
