Cotton Slips Lower into the Friday Close

Cotton futures were steady to 7 points lower in the front months on Friday, as March was 85 points lower this week. Crude oil futures were up $1.95 per barrel at $61.31. The US dollar index was down $0.871 to $97.305. USDA Export Sales data showed 412,457 RB of cotton sold in the week ending on January 15, a marketing year high.
