Chinese Demand Concerns Undercut Sugar Prices

March NY world sugar #11 (SBH26) today is down -0.13 (-0.89%), and May London ICE white sugar #5 (SWK26) is up +0.70 (+0.17%). Sugar prices gave up an early advance today and are mixed, with NY sugar falling from a 3-week high.  Sugar prices came under pressure today after the Financial Times reported that China is considering imposing higher taxes on beverages with the greatest sugar content, potentially reducing China's sugar demand.
