Toast's stock heats up on sales jump

Toast Inc.’s stock initially jumped 16% before cooling in after-hours trading Thursday after the company posted strong quarterly sales. The cloud-based restaurant-management software company TOST reported a fiscal fourth-quarter net loss of $36 million, or 7 cents a share, compared with a net loss of $99 million, or 19 cents a share, in the same quarter a year ago.
