Tesco loses appeal over Lidl trademark infringement

Tesco PLC (LSE:TSCO) has lost its appeal against a ruling which said its Clubcard logo had infringed on a trademark owned by rival Lidl.  The UK's largest supermarket used a yellow circle behind a blue background to advertise products which were part of its Clubcard scheme.  Source BBC However, Lidl in 2020 successfully sued the supermarket after alleging it had copied its brand to deceive customers.
