Defense Secretary Pete Hexath announced that the US Navy will rename the fleet replenishment ship named after Harvey Mil. Mil was a Navy veteran who was also one of the country's first outgay elected officials. Hexath says he is quote taking the politics out of ship naming. So he says the ship will now be named after Oscar V.Peterson, a chief petty officer who received the Medal of Honor for his service during World War II.
