'Camp Democracy' brings children of fired federal workers to Capitol Hill

The Trump administration's overhaul of the federal workforce has left thousands without jobs. Many of those workers have visited the capital since the spring to explain to members of Congress why the firings are wrong and some decided to bring their kids along for what they're calling camp democracy. The Washington Post reports the camp was born to both introduce their kids to the democratic process and provide those in power with an opportunity to learn about the ripple effects of the slash and burn cuts.J ...
