Inflation remained steady in July, consumer data shows

In July, inflation rose by 0.2% month overmonth and by 2.7% year-over-year. 2.7%. That's how much prices rose in July of this year compared to July of last year.These are the year-over-year rates over the past few months. You can see we're kind of going in the wrong direction.
