I actually think creator payouts dramatically improve X as a site and a community. When you post junk posts with no engagement, you get dinged in the algo and lose your tribe, so monetized accounts don’t want to post junk. Payout per post is too small anyway for any single post, or even 10 posts, to be done for ad rev.
