Officials describe how suspect in D.C. National Guard shooting was apprehended at the scene

Yesterday on Thanksgiving Eve at approximately 2:15 near 17th and I streets uh in the uh northwest section of the district near the Farragut West Metro Station. Two uniform guardsmen were ambushed in a brazen and targeted attack.
