NY Fed President Williams says some 'technical factors' distorted November's CPI reading downward

I think it represents a continuation of the disinflationary process we've seen and I feel like it's a you know consistent with what we were or I was expecting. Now on the headline though there were some special factors some technical factors that really are related to the fact that they weren't able to collect data in October and not in the first half of November and because of that uh I think the data were distorted in some of the categories and that pushed down the CPI reading uh probably by a tenth or so ...
