Anthropic CEO says AI company isn't advocating for ban of open-weight models

Anthropic is now pushing back on claims that it wants to shut down openweight AI models. This was in a blog post this week. CEO Dario Amade now says the company has never called for a ban on openweight models.It's all in response to recent criticism for being the only major AI lab and big tech company to not sign a letter urging the White House to protect open-source models.
