Florida urges doctors not to prescribe mental health medication for children

Florida Surgeon General now suggests not using psych drugs when treating mental health issues in kids. Things like depression, anxiety, attention deficit related disorders. Millions of kids in the US report getting mental health treatment according to the CDC.But the Florida Department of Health says they often don't get evaluations of environmental stressors or go through behavioral therapy before getting prescribed.
