Meta to impose teen social media limits under landmark settlement

Yes, this is a landmark social media case and it's it's it's expected to set a precedent across the industry as a whole. Now, uh 30 US states brought the case against Meta and said that it had misled the public about the harms that its platforms Instagram and Facebook posed to younger users. We were only in week two of the trial when news of the settlement dropped on Wednesday.And so, Meta has agreed with the states to pay up to $18 billion in damages.
