RT House of ZK (@HouseofZK)Starknet🔹 Tech 🔹@Starknet has released Grinta (v0.14.0), advancing its decentralization goals by introducing three independent sequencers that rotate block production: https://t.co/8xYOYcM0yNAlthough still under @StarkWareLtd’s control, this version distributes validation and lays groundwork for future community governance. Key additions include subsecond pre-confirmations, a peer-to-peer mempool, a fee market with a minimum l2_gas price, and a standardized paymaster interface.Upc ...

RT Andy (@ayyyeandy)🤯🤯🤯According to Matt Huang, Tempo chose to build a L1 instead of an Ethereum L2 because they think a "decentralized validator set is a necessary requirement for partners" to ensure credible neutrality. No mention of other economic reasons, or talk of a new token. He also wrote that they don't want to be dependent on the speed of Ethereum L1 progress.A reminder to everyone out there that crypto is entering its practical era.In light of regulatory clarity and institutional appeal, were movin ...

Decentralization & Infrastructure - Tempo chose to build a Layer 1 (L1) blockchain instead of an Ethereum Layer 2 (L2) to ensure credible neutrality through a decentralized validator set for its partners [1] - Tempo aims to be a permissionless chain, allowing anyone to deploy a token and transact on the chain from day one [2] - The company doesn't want to be dependent on the speed of Ethereum L1 progress [1] Market & Industry Trends - The crypto industry is entering its practical era [1] - The market is moving towards revenue/value territory, focusing on bringing all of finance on-chain [2] - The industry is shifting away from DAOs, fugazi decentralization, and overemphasis on idealism/tribalism [2] - Real-world usage and serious institutions require giving up on maximalisms, prioritizing practicality, control, and scalability [2]

All chains compete to be cheaper & faster. Not ETH.Ethereum is slow and expensive but decentralized, secure with $ETH fighting for its role as SoV (not here yet so it's not priced in).Vivek is right. New corpo L1s isn't great for L2s but definitely worse for alt-L1s.Vivek Raman (@VivekVentures):The beginning of the end for alt-L1s ...
Crypto Professors Debate: Is Ethereum Ready for Real World Assets?
Bankless· 2025-09-04 17:57
Decentralization & Real-World Integration - Decentralization is likely to prevail due to its inherent advantages, similar to Churchill's analogy about democracy [1] - Integrating real-world assets on-chain necessitates acknowledging real-world constraints and human behavior [2] - Decentralized systems offer an "opt-out" option, providing value as a store of value [2] Future Trends - A semi-permissioned or consortium-based future, like Austin's vision, is considered unsustainable [1] - Users, asset issuers, and regulators will ultimately gravitate towards decentralized networks [1]

Decentralization or Real-World Rules? - Omid Malekan vs. Austin Campbell Debate
Bankless· 2025-09-03 17:01
If Austin's version of a semi-permissioned future or consortium future becomes true, it'll blow itself up. To me, at the end of the day, the people, the users, the assets, the companies who issue those assets and the governments who regulate those companies will find themselves on a decentralized network because I'm going to garble this, but it's like the quote that Churchill said about America or it's the worst option except for every other one. And I think ultimately decentralization will win by default.A ...
