Ethereum’s upcoming Fusaka hard fork will activate EIP-7825, introducing a per-transaction gas limit of 2²⁴ (≈16.78 million). Already live on Holesky and Sepolia testnets, the change will take effect on mainnet with Fusaka. Aimed at improving block efficiency and enabling future parallel execution, the cap doesn’t affect the total block gas limit.
