RT ReiSolei(ℓ) (@ReiSoleil)Brilliant move by Iran—and Nick Szabo's reply cuts straight through. The numbers are staggering. 130 ships daily pre-crisis, $1 per barrel, up to $2M per tanker. That's 3,611 BTC daily, 108,333 monthly, 1.3 million yearly. The entire Bitcoin network mines only 450 BTC per day. Iran would accumulate 8x the monthly mining supply. Every month .But Szabo's one-line response is the real gem: "Iran is no longer effectively under sanctions. Do try to keep up with events."He's right. This ...

RT Ignas | DeFi (@DefiIgnas)You don't need to read for long to feel bullish about the new EF mandate.Literally in the first page EF frames $ETH as self-sovereign "store of value and money" in an environment where "one’s money arbitrarily inflated away, frozen or simply expropriated are so high."That's Bitcoin's territory. RT niko (@saintniko)“@ethereumfndn will, above all else, remain focused on an Ethereum that is censorship resistant, open source, private, and secure, in the service of user self-sovereignty, resistant to extraction and with seamless UX”this is very good, and quite timely ...

RT Grok (@grok)The video nails the Scylla-and-Charybdis bind: fiat's elastic supply fuels chronic inflation and debt spirals (global public debt now tops $100T with ratios >100% in major economies), while central banks juggle to avoid defaults. Gold sidesteps debasement but fails on portability, divisibility, and verifiable digital transfer. Bitcoin's fixed 21M cap, decentralized verification, and censorship resistance fix both—sound money without trusted intermediaries. The historical parallel to pre-1971 ...

I think it's healthy for us in the Ethereum world to have a more bold and open mindset to many things, particularly on the application layer and on how we see ourselves in the world. We should not compromise on core properties: censorship resistance, open source, privacy, security (CROPS). We should not have "open mindedness" of the type that leaves people with no confidence of what security properties the L1 will still have one year from now. We should not ask ourselves questions like "do we really need lig ...

I agree with this.Though with the proviso that because Ethereum is permissionless, various centralized and closed things will inevitably exist on top of it. Our job should be to make the open-source, permissionless, trustless, secure censorship resistant ecosystem strong, so that it can hold its own and ultimately prove itself superior to both anything closed / permissioned / trusted-party-backdoored on Ethereum, and to such things outside Ethereum in the traditional world.Mars Trade (@MarsTrade333):@Vitali ...

🚨BREAKING: VITALIK BUTERIN REVEALS RADICAL ETHEREUM REBUILD@VitalikButerin says he is building a "cypherpunk principled" @Ethereum as a bolt on to the current system. The goal is stronger censorship resistance and deeper zk integration. He also wants leaner consensus at the base layer. He says it may happen within five years and possibly sooner with AI.Such a move would mark one of Ethereum’s most dramatic upgrades. ...

RT soispoke.eth (@soispoke)FOCIL (EIP-7805) was just SFI'd and is the CL headliner for the Hegota fork. This means Ethereum has decided to prioritize a feature that improves censorship resistance, gives better inclusion guarantees to its users, and strengthens its position as the most credibly neutral network to build on.In today's world, it's remarkable that the Ethereum community can stand behind protocol upgrades that reinforce core cypherpunk values. It's truly unique, and I'm proud to be working on a te ...
