Every morning, Godar's Malai opens dozens of envelopes containing ticks mailed by bite victims. Malai is an entomologist on the lookout for Longhorn ticks, an invasive species that unlike other ticks, can reproduce itself through cloning. Welcome back. Tick bite cases are approaching record highs this summer as emergency rooms have reported the largest number of tick related visits in nearly a decade.
