Ball Corporation has agreed to acquire an 80% interest in Benepack’s European beverage can manufacturing operations for €184m ($216m). The US-based aluminium packaging manufacturer stated that the deal covers two production facilities, one in Belgium and one in Hungary. Benepack shareholders will retain the remaining 20% ownership.
