Starbucks to lay off over 1,000 corporate workers

Starbucks CEO Brian Niccol announced Monday that the company is laying off 1,100 corporate employees as it works to simplify operations.  "We are simplifying our structure, removing layers and duplication and creating smaller, more nimble teams," Niccol said in a letter to employees.
