Group 1 - Hohhot, with a permanent population of 3.6394 million, is actively engaged in the "waste-free city" initiative since April 2022, focusing on solid waste resource utilization, reduction, and harmless treatment [1] - The Inner Mongolia Chenghuan Lande Recycling Resources Co., Ltd. processes approximately 250 tons of kitchen waste daily, converting it into biodiesel raw materials and biogas for power generation through a series of advanced treatment processes [3][4] - The company has a designed processing capacity of 300 tons per day and has processed over 200,000 tons of kitchen waste since its trial operation began in 2022, contributing to a green, low-carbon, and circular economic development model [4] Group 2 - The Hohhot Medical Waste Disposal Center, managed by Yidekang Medical Waste Treatment Co., handles over 20 tons of medical waste daily, ensuring efficient and safe disposal through a smart monitoring platform [7] - The center employs a high-temperature steam sterilization process at 134°C for 45 minutes, followed by crushing and incineration, achieving a closed-loop treatment system for medical waste [7] - Hohhot has established a comprehensive waste management system across five key areas: industrial, agricultural, residential, construction, and hazardous waste, supported by numerous local regulations and policies [8] Group 3 - The city aims to reduce the intensity of industrial solid waste generation to 1.66 tons per 10,000 yuan by 2024, with significant progress in green manufacturing and the establishment of 103 green factories [8] - In the agricultural sector, over 90% of livestock waste is utilized resourcefully, and all dead livestock are treated harmlessly, while the use of pesticides and fertilizers continues to decrease [8] - Hohhot has successfully created 58 "waste-free cells" across various sectors, achieving 100% coverage in residential waste classification and disposal systems [8]
