Group 1 - The Hunan China Nuclear Tumor Hospital (Phase I) project has officially topped out on June 14, 2023, with an expected completion and opening in 2026 [1] - The project covers a total construction area of approximately 330,000 square meters, with a planned capacity of 1,800 beds (917 beds for Phase I) and a total investment exceeding 3 billion yuan [3] - The hospital is positioned as a nuclear medical center and flagship oncology specialty hospital in Central and Southern China, equipped with advanced medical technologies such as proton heavy ion therapy systems and BNCT systems [3] Group 2 - The project is a result of a strategic cooperation agreement signed in 2017 between China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) and the Hunan Provincial Government, aimed at establishing the CNNC Hunan Proton Medical Center [4] - CNNC Health, as a professional platform for nuclear medical industry investment and management, is collaborating with local government to implement the "Healthy China" strategy and ensure the project is included as a key provincial and municipal engineering project [4] - The hospital aims to integrate various resources in the Yuhua District to activate a "nuclear medical innovation ecosystem," focusing on tumor diagnosis and driving the development of nuclear drug research, nuclear medical equipment manufacturing, and talent cultivation [6]
