Group 1 - The total foreign investment in Thailand from January to October 2025 reached 276.7 billion THB, an increase of 115.6 billion THB or 72% compared to the same period last year [1] - A total of 869 foreign enterprises were approved to operate in Thailand, with 228 obtaining licenses under the Foreign Business Act (1999) and 641 through the Board of Investment (BOI) and other special channels [1] - Singapore was the largest source of foreign investment at 92.3 billion THB, followed by Japan at 78.3 billion THB, China at 25.4 billion THB, the United States at 4.83 billion THB, and Hong Kong at 13.19 billion THB [1] Group 2 - Investments through the BOI channel were particularly notable, with 424 enterprises investing a total of 210.1 billion THB, accounting for 76% of total foreign investment [2] - These investments were primarily focused on high-end technology, digital and artificial intelligence, electric vehicles, and clean energy, with major investment directions including contract manufacturing, trade and investment support services (TISO), and computer services [2] - In the first ten months of the year, foreign investments created 5,364 new jobs in Thailand, a year-on-year increase of 77% [2]
