Group 1 - The core objective of the recent initiative by the Copper River Market Supervision Bureau is to ensure fair and just measurement in the holiday market, protecting consumer rights and creating a trustworthy consumption environment [1] - The inspection focused on key locations such as New Year markets, agricultural trade markets, and areas around shopping malls, specifically targeting electronic weighing scales used for selling seafood, meat, fruits, and vegetables [1] - Enforcement personnel conducted on-site verification of electronic weighing scales using standard weights, checking for measurement accuracy and any illegal measurement practices [1] Group 2 - To date, a total of 8 agricultural markets have been inspected, over 700 vendors checked, and more than 800 electronic weighing scales examined, with most vendors having legally calibrated scales that are accurate and reliable [3] - Nine problematic scales were identified and have been legally addressed [3] - The Market Supervision Bureau plans to continue enhancing measurement regulation, improving calibration service capabilities and quality, and strictly combating measurement fraud to standardize market measurement order and foster a trustworthy consumption environment [3]
