Women used to be too busy having kids to have opinions on society. Now they have NO kids and have opinions on every single matter and control the majority of voter base via simps and wife guys.I’m sure women would have been against Cortez going to South America.Or Captain Scott going to Antarctica.Women would have literally withheld the discovery of earth.Women only destroy society when they do anything outside of child birth.Name a destructive ideology?Trans? Open borders?Whatever. Name it.Who wants it?Wome ...

‘It’s structural racism, sexism’: Maternal health care advocates speak out against Medicaid cuts
MSNBC· 2025-10-26 18:38
Healthcare Policy & Funding - The potential expiration of Affordable Care Act tax credits and previous Medicaid cuts by President Trump could lead to skyrocketing insurance premiums for millions of Americans, disproportionately affecting women [2] - Medicaid has been a crucial pillar of women's health coverage for the past 15 years, with nearly 24 million women aged 19 and older enrolled last year [3] - Medicaid funds over 40% of all births in the US, making it the largest single-payer for pregnancy-related services [3] - In 2021, Medicaid accounted for 64% of deliveries among Black mothers [12] - Defunding Medicaid is expected to reverse progress in maternal health, worsening the maternal mortality crisis as mothers lose access to care [6] Maternal Mortality Crisis - The US has one of the highest maternal mortality rates among high-income countries, with over 2,300 mothers dying during childbirth each year in Louisiana and Mississippi alone [5] - Medicaid expansions have been linked to a 17% drop in hospitalizations during the first 60 days postpartum [6] - Black women have higher maternal death rates than any other racial or ethnic group in the United States, with most deaths being preventable but influenced by racial bias in healthcare [8] - Structural racism and sexism contribute to higher maternal mortality rates, particularly for Black women, leading to outcomes worse than some countries in the Middle East [22] Systemic Issues & Solutions - Systemic issues such as historical reasons, lack of being listened to, maternal deserts, and bias contribute to the maternal mortality crisis [18] - Some states are allegedly refusing to count maternal deaths, despite awareness that the situation is worsening [16] - Eugenics and white supremacy are identified as real factors contributing to the disparities in maternal health outcomes [25] - Addressing food insecurity and ensuring access to nutrition for pregnant women and mothers are crucial needs [20]

Gender Inequality in Journalism - The journalism industry often judges women based on appearance rather than professional skills [2] - Women in television are expected to be gentle, elegant, and beautiful, and are criticized for showing vulnerability or becoming pregnant [3] - When a man announces he will become a father, he is congratulated, but a woman who wants to be a mother is seen as a risk [3] - The industry expects female journalists to conform to specific physical standards, including being thin and attractive [4][5] - Female journalists are often told to be neutral, but this neutrality is defined by appearance, weight, and other standards [9] Workplace Discrimination - In Brazil, 50% of women lose their jobs within two years of having a child, indicating systemic discrimination [4] - For every 100 men promoted to manager, only 72 women receive the same opportunity [9] - Women face barriers to leadership positions, even with ideal qualifications, due to prejudice [10][11] - Female journalists are often told to emulate more "contained" or "appropriate" colleagues, suppressing their spontaneity [12] - Female journalists experience unwanted comments and pressure regarding their appearance, such as hair color [13]

Historical Analysis - The analysis challenges modern interpretations of historical figures like Livia and Theodora, suggesting they are often portrayed as either longing for freedom or manipulative, deviating from ancient historians' more nuanced depictions [2][3][4] - The study aims to examine Livia and Theodora based on original sources, focusing on their backgrounds, personalities, and use of influence [4] - Livia was presented as a traditional Roman woman, while Theodora's background was marked by controversy, with some accounts depicting her as a child performer and prostitute [6][7] - Theodora's rise to empress was unconventional, as Emperor Justinian changed the law to marry her, similar to Livia's marriage to Augustus [8] - Livia presented herself as modest and traditional, while Theodora was demonized by some contemporary writers but praised by others for her support of the persecuted [9][10][14][15] - Livia used her influence to help the Roman senators, while Theodora is known for helping prostitutes and priests with non-orthodox beliefs [13][17] - The analysis concludes that Livia and Theodora were distinct personalities, with Livia being traditional and Theodora being more unconventional in her use of power [19] Societal Implications - Modern writers may be projecting their own biases onto historical figures, hindering a true understanding of their personalities [21] - Ancient sources offer diverse portrayals of Livia and Theodora, allowing for a more nuanced understanding of ancient women as individuals [21]
