Flight Overview - New Shepard NS36 successfully cleared the tower and reached 10,000 ft [1] - The flight reached apogee at 350,438 ft [6] - The mission lasted approximately 9 and a half minutes [14] - This was the 15th human flight for New Shepard [7] Vehicle Performance - The BE3 engine operated at full throttle with good chamber pressure [2] - The booster successfully deployed drag brakes and landing legs [10] - Booster landed approximately 2 miles from the launch site [6] - Capsule deployed drogues and main parachutes for landing [12] - Capsule touchdown speed was reduced to approximately 1 mph by retro thrust system [14] Astronaut Experience - Astronauts experienced zero G's during the flight [4] - Astronauts passed the Karman line [5] - Astronauts returned to their seats and strapped in before re-entry [7] - Astronauts experienced increasing G's during capsule re-entry [9] Safety and Recovery - Command Engine start was initiated [1] - Main engine cut off (MECO) was confirmed [3] - Separation of the capsule and booster was confirmed [4] - Booster auto safing procedures were initiated after landing [11] - Capsule recovery team safed the capsule after touchdown [15]
