Group 1 - The recent biodiversity conservation parent-child research activity themed "The Wizard of Oz" was held at the QianDao Lake Hongshan Valley Scenic Area, aiming to create an immersive experience to stimulate children's scientific interest in biodiversity and cultivate ecological awareness [2] - The QianDao Lake Hongshan Valley Scenic Area is located in An'yang Township, Chun'an County, featuring rare primitive forests and a 5,680-meter-long ecological gorge, showcasing a rich variety of flora and fauna [2] - The scenic area emphasizes biodiversity protection, currently serving as a habitat for rare species, with known animal species including 12 mammals, 15 fish, 13 birds, 4 amphibians, 16 insects, and 10 reptiles, alongside 55 angiosperms, 13 ferns, and 3 mosses [2] Group 2 - The scenic area is home to over a hundred species of precious wild medicinal herbs, with more than 98% of the natural ecosystem and over 95% of wild plant and animal species effectively protected on-site [2] - During the event, staff introduced the biodiversity protection efforts in Hongshan Valley, allowing participants to experience the charm of biodiversity firsthand [2] - Moving forward, Hangzhou will continue to adhere to the principles of ecological priority and green development, actively engaging in biodiversity protection and restoration to enhance the city's biodiversity levels and achieve harmony between humans and nature [3]
