Group 1 - The 13th Cross-Strait Livelihood Meteorology Forum opened in Xiamen, Fujian, with over a hundred meteorological experts and scholars from both sides discussing meteorological services for people's livelihoods [1] - Zhang Zhu, Vice President and Secretary-General of the China Meteorological Society, emphasized the natural cooperation foundation between Fujian and Taiwan due to their similar climate and geography, highlighting past achievements in meteorological disaster prevention and cultural exchanges [1] - Taiwanese meteorological experts expressed the importance of cross-strait meteorological exchanges, particularly in disaster weather defense, and called for closer collaboration to enhance service quality for the well-being of both sides [1] Group 2 - The forum released the "Cross-Strait Meteorological Cooperation Open Topic Application Guidelines," aiming to establish open topics for cooperation and promote joint research among universities, research institutions, and meteorological service units from both sides [1] - The first Cross-Strait Meteorological Youth Research Camp was inaugurated, which will organize visits to various cities to explore the development of meteorology, cultural integration, and modern meteorological system achievements [2] - A themed exhibition titled "Cross-Strait Meteorology, Long-lasting Benefits" was set up at the forum, showcasing the 13-year history of the Cross-Strait Livelihood Meteorology Forum and the role of meteorological services in supporting the development of a cross-strait integration demonstration zone in Fujian [2]
