女儿选了历史专业

钮也仿 小女最近明确了将历史作为大学专业方向。说选的理由是:历史在她眼睛里和八卦无异,于是学术变成 了好玩的事情。我没有想到,也没有干涉。通常孩子选大学专业,家长用人生经验、社会观察,依据自 己的就业判断帮着拿主意的多。我上世纪80年代中叶考大学,复旦文科最高录取分是世经系首次超过长 年霸榜的新闻系,没多久是上海外贸学院的国际贸易专业分数线超过了复旦。这些都是家长判断"饭 碗"的"看不见的手"。当下计算机类、工科类走红同理。在就业、喜欢之间,现在很多人"老登"一样, 对下一代纵有干涉的想法,行动却有无力感。 其实近百年来,已鲜有所谓"青箱传学"。我读的新闻,前辈大师早说过"新闻无学";我父母上世纪60年 代初大学毕业读的工科技术,在今天都不值一提。所以一代人有一代人的志趣,同时也被不同命运境遇 推动,不然也不会有"树花同发,随风而坠"的感慨了。 广蒐博览,自有会心。所以学历史容易让人思想早熟。我现在已是"人生过处唯存悔",孩子正当"知识 增时只益疑"的年纪。忘记在哪本书上读到过"夏五""郭公"的"史贵能缺"。中年后,我不自觉地越来越 喜欢翻历史书。史料和人性隐藏面造成的困难和复杂,能推着人读书论世,深思而求其 ...
