南海调查中心完成31个站位同步全潮水文观测
Core Insights - The Ministry of Natural Resources' South China Sea Investigation Center has completed a record 31 synchronous hydrological observation stations in the eastern Guangdong sea area, marking a historical high for synchronous tidal observations in the South China Sea [1] - The observations aim to comprehensively understand the spatial and temporal distribution characteristics of hydrometeorological basic elements during typical summer tidal periods, providing critical data support for the planning, design, and construction of offshore wind farms in the region [1] Observation Details - The 31 tidal hydrological observation stations were established at distances exceeding 100 nautical miles from shore, with a maximum water depth of over 60 meters, an average distance from shore of over 60 nautical miles, and an average water depth of over 30 meters [1] - The field investigation coincided with the end of the 2025 fishing moratorium and the onset of the fishing season, as well as the presence of typhoons "Swordfish" and "Blue Lake" in the South China Sea, making the task challenging and time-sensitive [1] Operational Challenges - To successfully complete the mission, the investigation center conducted thorough plan verification and meticulous expedition planning, receiving strong support from various marine centers in Shantou, Haikou, and Shenzhen [1] - The field investigation team scientifically designed the voyage plan, accurately grasping favorable operational timing while overcoming numerous adverse factors such as dock congestion, harsh sea conditions, deep water stations, and continuous operations [1]
