TEDx Talks· 2025-11-03 16:06

Our delicate daily lives, once disrupted, can never truly return to what they were. And yet, we continue to grow accustomed to our routines, gradually forgetting events around the world as if they were someone else’s concern. Will it only be when those events become our own that we finally realize the terrifying power of becoming numb? Graduated from the College of Performing Arts, National Taiwan ...

A Day In The Life 10 Years From Now | Abhinav Aggarwal | TEDxDAIS Youth
TEDx Talks· 2025-11-03 15:57
So I think the biggest question in everyone's mind right like how many of you are worried about what job will you take up in the next 5 years and whether that job will even exist just from a show of hands okay so 50% of the room is worried I'm assuming 50% is not so let's see if we can clear that confusion out a bit so to predict the impact of generative AI right over the next couple of years we probably need to do a bit of digging into the past and see see how it led to this. We also need a little bit of e ...
How "Big Mail" is sabotaging the postal service | Andrew Young | TEDxBreckenridge
TEDx Talks· 2025-11-02 14:30
[Applause] Neither snow nor rain, nor heat, nor gloom of night shall keep these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds. Now, this phrase was carved on the main post office building in New York City. And for this reason, many people came to believe that it represented the motto of the postal service. But this phrase actually comes from an ancient account of the heroic messengers during the Greek and Persian wars written 2500 years ago. But the sentiment still remains the same that no mat ...

What can we learn from ghost stories? | Amy Tudor | TEDxVCU
TEDx Talks· 2025-10-31 17:00
So, science tells us that there is no such thing as ghosts. I know some of you will be very relieved to hear this. Others will take issue with it. I know this because every time I talk about this, every time I lecture about it, somebody will come up to me afterwards and swear they have seen a ghost or talked to a ghost. But in an academic environment, we have to bow to the absence or presence of scientific data. And despite all the years of looking by researchers, by ghost hunters, there is no hard evidence ...
How to Become Someone You’re Proud Of | Tom Kelly | TEDxColumbiana
TEDx Talks· 2025-10-31 16:01
Life isn't shaped by the big moments. It's sculpted by the thousands of tiny decisions you barely notice. It's 2007. I'm 23 and I feel like I don't matter. Most days I wake up anxious. Not just stressed, but that kind that makes it hard to breathe. I drink too much. I zone out. And I'm afraid that one day I'm going to look back and realize I was invisible in my own life. Then comes a Tuesday. I'm home visiting my parents. The coffee pot's brewing. The sunlight spills across the counter. Everything feels rou ...
