Steve Eisman on breast cancer: Medical advances have made my experience pretty tolerable

Medical Condition - Steve Eisman was diagnosed with breast cancer in June, a rare condition for men, accounting for less than 1% of all cases [2][3] - The diagnosis was made possible by his friend, Dr Robert Gelfan, who detected an issue during a locker room examination [3][4] - Eisman underwent a double mastectomy and has been undergoing chemotherapy since August, scheduled to end in December, followed by radiation in January [5][6][12] - The chemotherapy regimen includes Tol for 12 weeks, followed by a more traditional AC treatment, with advancements in medicine making the side effects tolerable [8][9] - The prognosis is positive, with a cure rate close to 100% after completing the regimen [12] AI Assessment - AI inaccurately overstated Steve Eisman's profit from short bets against the housing market [1]
