In a fast-moving career spent pushing the boundaries of what was known and what was possible, it is remarkable how rigorously the physicist vetted his own reasoning https://t.co/KmDKSVAGZD ...

RT 11AM w/ Seed Club (@11AMdotclub)We asked @0xMert_ how he originally got excited about @solana, and he stood on physics:“Anything that is not barred by the laws of physics is a solvable problem, and Solana is much more physics aligned than anything else I've seen.”“There’s a lot of work to do, but if we can do that work then the physics will carry us and we won’t have to worry about the chain not scaling and all these different things.” ...

Industry Perspective - The quote suggests a contrast between the pursuit of truth in fields like math and physics versus the environment of politics [1] - Elon Musk's statement implies that politics may not be a "maximally truth-seeking environment" [1]

When I was younger, I was a competitive archer. My dad was a builder and an engineer, and he helped coach me. And one of the things he always did in a very efficient engineering way was measure out the distance to the target by taking big steps. So, one big step for about a meter, and we would measure how many meters away the target was.So, 10 steps for 10 meters, 30 for 30, and so on and so forth. This was a really easy way to be able to measure distances. So, we weren't sitting in the backyard all day mea ...

Jeffrey Epstein was a product of at least one element of the intelligence community. The CIA, FBI. I don't know who ran him, but he knew a tremendous amount about my scientific work in ways that he wasn't supposed to. Very powerful people told me I needed to meet him. He certainly was not a financeier in any standard sense. That was a cover story. And I want to know why people don't investigate it. I want to know why nobody asks for the filings. But I think more than anything, we don't trust our scientists ...
