Core Viewpoint - The population and habitat area of Northeast tigers and leopards in China have been continuously increasing, with a significant number of wild Northeast tigers recorded in Heilongjiang Province. A new intelligent monitoring and early warning platform has been established to scientifically prevent human-tiger conflicts [1][3]. Group 1: Population and Habitat - Heilongjiang Province has the largest area of Northeast tiger habitat in China, accounting for over 70% of the national habitat area. Major landscape patches such as Wanda Mountain, Lesser Khingan Mountains, and Greater Khingan Mountains have seen a gradual redistribution of Northeast tigers [3]. Group 2: Monitoring and Early Warning System - The newly established intelligent monitoring and early warning platform consists of 165 standardized survey units and 8,085 infrared automatic cameras, covering an area of 32,000 square kilometers of forest. This system enables systematic monitoring of 13 species of large and medium-sized forest animals, including Northeast tigers, leopards, black bears, and brown bears, utilizing AI algorithms for rapid individual identification [5][7]. Group 3: Conflict Prevention Measures - The human-tiger conflict monitoring and early warning platform has innovatively established a three-level early warning prevention system, centered around villages and delineating three defense lines within a 5-kilometer radius. Relevant departments will initiate corresponding monitoring, warning, and response measures based on different warning levels. Additionally, various new warning and deterrent methods have been developed to effectively reduce the occurrence of human-tiger conflict incidents [7]. Group 4: Technological Advancements - The use of vibration fiber technology for identifying large wild animals has been introduced, achieving over 90% accuracy in identifying Northeast tigers as they pass through fiber areas. This technology has been implemented in the Northeast Tiger Forest Park [9].
